He was predeceased by: his wife Marlyne Johnson-Houston; his daughter Stephanie Houston; his brother Don Houston; his brother-in-law Dave Unger; and his parents, Viola Durand and Alexander Durand (Houston).

He is survived by: his children, Chelsea Knight (Brian), Christopher Houston (Kirstie), Dustyn Houston (Taylor), Cayleigh and Carsyn Houston; his sister Geraldine Unger; his grandchildren, Lamya, Charlotte, Rhett, Julien, Nicholas, George and Lauren; and his pet Dior.
