He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sutherland and Doris Sutherland of Beeton, Ontario.. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Sutherland; his daughters, Jennifer Sutherland, Marla Bartel and Kate (Matt Slubik); his grandchildren, Jude, Oscar and Hazel Bartel; and his aunt Mildred Turnbull. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Frontier Room - Westerner Park (19 St, Red Deer, AB T4R2N7).
