It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donald Lorne Polnau (Red Deer, Alberta), who passed away on July 25, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Polnau of Leslieville; his former wife Mary Polnau; his parent Wilhem "Willie" Polnau; his brother Lawrence Polnau; his brothers-in-law, Bernie Skaalerud and Gordon Fisher; and his great-niece Kyla Megan Graham-Doel.

He is survived by: his wife Verlie Polnau; his sister Sharon Skaalerud; his siblings' children, Darin Doel (Sara), Shane Doel and Ryan Doel (Nonnee); his sisters, Laureen Fisher and Joanne Fisher; and his stepchildren, Debbie Langois, Kim McConnell (Len), Kelly Davis, Jamie Biggs (Tammy) and Nancy Biggs.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pibroch Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made in Don's name to the Red Deer Hospice or the charity of your choosing.
