With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doreen Ralston MacDonald in Red Deer, Alberta, born in Edmonton, Alberta, who passed away on May 5, 2025 at the age of 94. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Doreen Ralston MacDonald to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Wates and Elsie Wates; and her daughter-in-law Donna MacDonald. She is survived by: her children, Bonnie Bliek (Tony), Bill MacDonald (Brenda) and John MacDonald (Pam); her grandchildren, Brad (Sheryl), Karri (Miguel), Eric (Ayesha), Garrett (Kelsey), Jenna (Matt) and Ben (Alison); and her sister Jean Knopp. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Gaetz Memorial United Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Doreen's memory may be made to Gaetz Memorial United Church, the Lending Cupboard, the Alzheimer Society, or a charity of one's choice.
