He was predeceased by: his parents, Vic Janssen and Kay Janssen; his brother Dale; his uncle Bill; and his former wife Shirley Fox.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Janssen; his daughters, Carmen Newsham (Rod) and Kristie Fehr (Jake); his stepchildren, Elizabeth Cronin and Victor Snell; and his grandchildren, Nathan, Mitchell, Julie, Colin, Michael and Viktoria. He is also survived by his siblings, their spouses, many nieces and nephews and other extended family.
