He is survived by: his wife Karen; his close friend Karma; his daughter Cheryl (Bob); his grandson Ben; his daughter Cathy (Kelly); his grandchildren, Ethan and Rainn; and his pet Mocha.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.

“We were saddened to read about the passing of our dear, long time friend Gordon. Gordon and I went to elementary school together. We were Safety Patrollers at St. Paul’s school. He and his family moved to Red Deer and it was a long time before we saw them again. When we did meet up it was like he had never been away. Our condolences to Karen and her two daughters and all family members and friends. He will be missed. Bob and Dianne Schaeffer”
