Kahyun Edwards Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 2, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Kahyun Edwards.
Kahyun Edwards (Cho) was born in Seoul, South Korea on October 28, 1978 to Kyu Young Cho (Father) and Kyung Sook Kim (Mother). Kahyun worked for many years as an artist in Canada and Germany. Prior to this she taught young children English in Korea. As a citizen of the world she was fluent in Korean, English and German. She had a kind heart and constantly sought to find beauty in our world. She loved to spend time with children and elders and focused on the worth that lies within. Kahyun loved to play the piano, sculpt pottery and create poetic prints. Some examples of her poetry are:
“HOME where love and joy fill each space”
“The best things in life are nearest”
“Cherish all the little moments that truly matter”
“Sometimes miracles are good people with kind hearts”
“Someone is happy because of you”
“What you can become depends on what you can overcome”
“Thank you for this wonderful gift of life”
On October 2, 2021 we lost Kahyun at the age of 42 in a tragic accident in her Home at Sylvan Lake AB. The family would like to thank the courageous first responders and dedicated healthcare professionals who made their best efforts to keep Kahyun on this Earth.
She is survived by her parents Kyu Young Cho and Kyung Sook Kim of Seoul, South Korea; younger brother Eikhyun Cho (Keongwon Yoon) and nephew Benjamin of Columbus, Ohio; younger sister Junghyun Cho (Hyungju Kim), niece Yeonseul Kim and nephew Seungjo Kim of Seoul, South Korea. She leaves behind her many loving family and friends.
Kahyun loved the Rockies more than anywhere else in the world so her ashes will be Inurned in the columbarium in the Canmore Cemetery located on Palliser Trail.
