We are sad to announce that, on April 30, 2026, at the age of 81, Margaret Elaine Jean Shortt (Red Deer, Alberta), born in Galahad, Alberta passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Margaret may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Margaret touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Wold and Margaret "Marg" Wold. She is survived by: her husband Bob Shortt; her children, Barry Gainer of Red Deer, Alberta, Barb Comfort-Spokes (Steve) of Rosetown, Saskatchewan and Bev Cholach (Darrell) of Botha, Alberta.; her grandchildren, Alex Comfort (Maegen), Dylan Spokes, Taylor and Kelly Cholach; and her brother Gary Wold.
