Melvin Gustav Homme Obituary

We announce the death of Melvin Gustav Homme (Red Deer, Alberta), who passed away on August 18, 2026, at the age of 91. Melvin will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma and Aksel; his wife Lorene; and his siblings, Cecil, Bill, Lewis and Bernice.

He is survived by: his children, Don (Colleen) and Debbie (Mark); his grandchildren, Andrew, Paige, Aksel and Steaven; and his sisters, Lil McDermott and Norma Petriko. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, the Bethany Care society or a charity of the donor's choice.
