Raymond Malo Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on March 13, 2026, at the age of 79, Raymond Malo (Red Deer, Alberta) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Caroline; his parents, Armand Malo and Alvina Malo; his parents-in-law, Anthony and Helena Strzepek; and his siblings, Cecile (Edgar Corbière), Flore (Adrien Bussière), Anna (Edward Podloski) and Michael Kopala (Leo Strzepek).
He is survived by: his children, Christopher Malo (Wendy), Raye Anne Hilts (Jason), Michelle Hounjet (Geno) and Toni Vonne Skjonsberg (Jeremy Jablonski) of Red Deer; his sisters, Suzanne Krissa (Tom) and Lise Watts (Andrew); his in-laws, MaryAnne Strzepek, Stephanie Sarafinchan, Polly Kopala and Julian Strzepek (Lucy); and his grandchildren, Joshua, Cora, Colby, Dominic, Micheal, Jayna, Charlee, Carter, Camryn and Morgan.
In lieu of flowers it was Papa's wish that people donate directly to a non-profit organization of their choosing, but as family we did want to encourage supporting the organizations that were instrumental in Ray's life: The Lending Cupboard (https://www.lendingcupboard.ca), Friends of the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre (https://friendsoftherdrh.com) and Haying in the 30s Cancer Society (https://www.hayinginthe30s.com).
