He was predeceased by : his parents, Elizabeth Monaghan and Joseph Monaghan; his son Kevin; and his siblings, Francis, Raymond, Eiver, Patrick, Philomena, Mary, Anne, Teresa and Una.

He is survived by : his wife Patricia Waterstreet; his children, Brian (Viviana) of Vernon, Terry (Tracy) of Edmonton, Alberta and Siobhan Bast (Tom) of Red Deer, Alberta; his grandchildren, Megan, Bethany, Keira, Cèili, Siobel, Gabe, Mairead and Luke; and his siblings, Joseph, Sean (Sheila) of Ireland and Siona of Edmonton, Alberta. He is also survived by numerous family members and dear friends.
