Sylvia Gladys Engen-Espe Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sylvia Gladys Engen-Espe of Red Deer, Alberta, who passed away on July 10, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her former husband Rev. James Engen; her husband Hans Espe; her son Wesley Engen; her brother Clinton Pederson (Muriel); and her brother-in-law Arnold Gillespie.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Engen, Maureen Engen, Twyla Lapointe (Yves) and Hans; her grandsons, Larry Espe (Debbie) and Mike Towmey (Carol); and her sisters, Verna Gillespie, Blanche Rostad (John), Lorna Pederson and Linda Wacker (Ernie). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Messiah Lutheran Church (4810 50 St, Camrose, AB T4V1P5).
