Wayne Purcell Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wayne Purcell of Red Deer, Alberta, who passed away on January 11, 2026 at the age of 81. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Wayne Purcell to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Purcell (Frank) and Daisy Purcell; his wife Sandra Purcell (Illsley); his stepfather William Bell; and his brother-in-law David Illsley.

He is survived by: his daughters, Kerry-Anne Purcell (Gordon Neiman) of Millet, Alberta and Erin Purcell (James Schinkel) of Humboldt, Saskatchewan; his grandchildren, Olivia, Zachary, Alexander Neiman and Matthew Schinkel; his siblings, Donald Purcell (Carole), Dennis Purcell (Jean) and Betty Pothier (Cecil) of Nova Scotia; and his sister-in-law Marian Illsley of Florida. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made in Wayne's honour to the Canadian Cancer Society.
