Jacobus De Bruyn Obituary
The memory of Jacobus De Bruyn of Rimbey, Alberta, who passed away on May 5, 2025 at the age of 95, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his wife Johanna "Jo"; his parents, Jacobus Bruyn and Tryntje De Bruyn (Theresa); his sister Janny Dube; and his in-laws, Nellie De Bruyn, Helen De Bruyn, Grace De Bruyn, Harry Vlug, Aly Boot (Kees), Albert Koster and Leany VandenBrink (George).
He is survived by: his son James De Bruyn (Carla); his grandchildren, Jameson, Nathan (Nadine), Benjamin (Lauren) and Kelvin; his son Gerald DeBruyn; his grandchildren, Delva, Zackary and Mamaze; his siblings, Arie De Bruyn, Frank De Bruyn and Elizabeth Grutterink (Bernie); his in-laws, Willie Griffin (Harry), Jenny Baldwin (David) and Kay Koster; and also, August and Lincoln. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Bethel United Reformed Church (703 101 St SW, Calgary, AB T3H3Z5).
