He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Norman Guenthier and Pat Liddel; and his stepsister Jennifer Zuberbier. He is survived by: his children, Bentley, Kali and Stockton; his parents, Terry Shields (Dale Ames) and Earl Shields; his siblings, Deanne Shields and Logan Guenthier; his stepsiblings, Mike Zuberbier, Tyrell Hewitt, Shantana Hewitt, Ryan Hewitt, Sheldon Ames, Jesse Aines and Hayley Ames; and his grandmother Marie Guenthier. He is also survived by many aunts and uncles, cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of the Rocky Funeral Home in Rocky Mountain House (48 Ave, Rocky Mountain House, AB T4T1C3).

Memorial Donations can be made in Danny's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Danny was around a lot when I was growing up, it was always my brother Mike, Taylor, and Danny. I don’t have a single bad memory of him and always enjoyed catching up when we could. He was so light and happy, always had a compliment a smile or a hug to give out. Was just plotting out some time to catch up with him. Rest in Peace Danny. Light and love buddy”
