It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Haldor Thorkelson (Rocky Mountain House, Alberta), born in Gimli, Manitoba, who passed away on November 10, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Haldor may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Haldor touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Haldor Thorkelson (Dori) and Effie Thorkelson. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Haldor Jr. and Vanessa (Blair); and his grandchildren, Ranen and Avalin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and foster children.
