It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Hildebrand (Rocky Mountain House, Alberta), who passed away on October 18, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Susan Hildebrand and Peter Hildebrand; his brother Peter; his sisters-in-law, Wilma and Donna Doerksen; and also, Jake, Anne Doerksen and Madison Rose Doerksen.

He is survived by : his wife Cheryl Doerksen; his son Brett (Nikki); his grandchildren, William and Magnolia; his son Jay (Rebecca); his grandchildren, Micah, Timothy and Hannah; his siblings, Ruth Teigrob (Ron), Paul (Val) and Doreen Toews (Gary); his in-laws, Ken Doerksen (Sharon), Arno Doerksen (Wanda), Gerry Doerksen (Alison) and Tim Doerksen (Yvonne); and his friends, Laura and Andrew Thompson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and friends.

“When our family moved to Port Rowan in 1970,John & i became friends quite quickly as we both enjoyed being in the great outdoors.His family lived right across the field from us. John was a huge mentor for me as he took me hunting for geese, ducks, groundhogs & even pheasants out west in Gem Alb.He was a mentor of mine for sure! He left this earth doing what he truly enjoyed.I will truly miss him but I know where he is & will see him again.My true condolences to you Cheryl & family. Dennis D.”
