John Senkyr Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Senkyr (Rocky Mountain House, Alberta), who passed away on January 13, 2026 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, June Senkyr and John Senkyr; his son Bobby Senkyr; his siblings, Randy Senkyr and Judy Leer (Ken); his nephew Rocky Leer; his sister Barbara Boyle; and his brothers-in-law, Tom Ross and Emil Baron.

He is survived by: his wife Jane; his daughter Jennifer Avramovich (Mike); his daughter-in-law Savonn Senkyr; his stepsons, Lucas Denny and Matthew Denny (Megan); his grandchildren, Jordan, Ashton (Tyler), Damien, Katie (Brett), Toryn (Austin), Keira (Dawson) of Rayne, DJ, Keegan, Lily and Evelyn; his great grandchildren, Jaxsen, Gabriel of Johnny, PJ, June, Wheeler, Bobby and Luca; his sisters, Marilyn Baron, Donna Ross and Isabelle Stuart (Darcy); and his brother-in-law Pete Boyle. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Evergreen Community Hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made to Stars Air Ambulance.
