He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Kanten and Toots Kanten; his brother Buzz Kanten; his father-in-law Les Katona; and his sister-in-law Jo-Ann Katona.

He is survived by: his wife Donna; his children, Tyler and Lindsey; his grandchildren, Thomas, Westyn and Lillian; his sisters, Sonja Haney (Clayton) and Alty Kanten; his foster sister Audrey Crookedlegs (Lenard); his brother Nigel Kanten (Audrey); his mother-in-law Rosie Katona; and his siblings-in-law, Garry Katona, Diane Jaycock (Darrel) and Darlene Katona. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
