She was predeceased by: her mother Dorthy Sands; and her husband Dave Evans. She is survived by: her father Chester Sands; her former spouse Lou Watson; her brother Stacy Sands (Connie); her children, Carla Watson and Dustin Watson; her grandchildren, Liam, Étienne and Elayna Beaudoin; her sibling's children, Brittany Sands (Bryn Ball), Ashley Harrison (Ethan) and Ryan Sands; her close friend Rob Luoma; and her caregiver Wendy.

In memory of Wendy, donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Alberta Cancer Foundation- Arthur Child Cancer Center.
