Richard Nimeck Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Nimeck (Ryley, Alberta), born in Calgary, Alberta, who passed away on December 26, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John Nimeck and Elaine Nimeck. He is survived by : his wife Lorraine; his children, Steven (Angie), Vince (Christine), Curtis and Rachael; his grandchildren, Ashley, Alannah, Amber, Jemma, Kaitlyn and Darian; his great grandchild Sawyer (Rylee); and his brothers, Mitchel (Diane) and Christopher (Leona). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Those planning to attend will need to provide proof of full vaccination or a negative covid test within 72 hours of the funeral.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.

Shirley Hodgson wrote a sympathy message

“Dear Lorraine and family , I just learned today of Richards passing . I am Richard’s cousin Shirley ( Finlay ) Hodgson . You came to a family reunion at our acreage in 2000. Lorraine all of us in Calgary including Aunt Jean are so very sorry for your loss and hope Rich didn’t suffer to long . We feel sad and sorry that our families haven’t been in touch since . We lost our son Terry Oct 2021 to brain cancer . Lorraine our deepest condolences . Shirley Hodgson 403-554-3361”
