He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Makokis and Mary Makokis; and his siblings, Albert, John, William, Peter, Kenny, Cecile, Rosanne, Cora and Elizabeth.

He is survived by: his sisters, Mary Louise Makokis and Irene Poitras (Ron); his niece Charity Makokis; and his son Alphonse.
