The passing of Andrez Cardinal of Saddle Lake, Alberta leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on November 27, 2025 at the age of 18. He was predeceased by: his mother Angelina Cardinal; his stepfather Ron Soosay; and his grandparents, Albert A. Cardinal, Lena Cardinal, Derwin and Judie Okeynan.
He is survived by: his siblings, Nevaeh Cardinal, Darius Cardinal Potts, Eric Saddleback, Hailey Okeynan and Ana Simon; his aunt Ann Steinhauer; his uncle Fabian Webster; his cousins, Jaxxon Delver and Leejay Delver; and his father Darrell Okeynan. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles.
A wake was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ayiwakes Cultural Centre (404a 50TH St, Saddle Lake, AB T0A3T0). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
