He was predeceased by: his grandfather Roy; his great-great-grandparents, Barner Felix Cardinal and Catherine Cardinal; his aunts, Beverly Hunter and Yvonne Hunter; his stepdaughter Alora Whitford; and his mother-in-law Ruby Whitford.
He is survived by: his spouse Claire Whitford; his children, Shaye Hunter of Edmonton, AB, Justice Quinn Hunter of Saddle Lake, AB, Taylor Whitford of Edmonton, AB and Kayne Whitford of Goodfish Lake, AB; his mother Hazel Sparklingeyes; his stepfather Brian Sparklingeyes (Violet Hunter); his siblings, Harley Hunter-Sparklingeyes, Owen Sparklingeyes (Ayla Delver), Trevor Hunter, Brie Hunter, Alannah Sparklingeyes, Shelly Hunter and Joanne Houle; his brothers-in-law, Dexter Whitford and Lucas Whitford; and his uncle Martin Cardinal. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles.
A wake will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Goodfish Lake Cultural Centre. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
