We bid farewell to Dawson Schaksen Callingbull of Saddle Lake, Alberta, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 2, 2025 at the age of 23. Dawson Schaksen touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his mother Ann Callingbull; his brother Jose Fuentes-Berrios; his grandparents, Joe and Flora Redcrow; his aunt Mary Mora; and his uncle Joseph Redcrow.
He is survived by: his daughter Starla Ann; his father Rennie Callingbull Sr.; his siblings, Carlos Berrios, Rennie Callingbull Jr., Jimmi Callingbull and Tannan Storm Redcrow-Anderson; his aunts, Helen Larson (Ron), Evelyn Kowch (Nestor), Nora Redcrow and Shirley Wenger; his uncle Lenny Redcrow; and his niece Amirann Callingbull. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
A wake will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Grace Gardens (404a 50TH St, Saddle Lake, AB T0A3T0). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM and on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
