He was predeceased by: his father Florian Desjarlais; his siblings, Ricky "Duke", Kenny, Emery and Agnes; and his grandparents, Francis, Kathleen Jackson, John Desjarlais and Agnes Cardinal.
He is survived by: his wife Corinne; his children, Shanade and Jessy (Maclean); his stepchildren, Suriena (Chris) and Shane (Amber); his grandchildren, Sondre, Shania, Brock, Shayna, Shanell, Shyne and Shane Jr.; his mother Mildred Jean; and his brother Rayburne. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews & other relatives.
A wake was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Ayiwakes Cultural Centre (404a 50TH St, Saddle Lake, AB T0A3T0). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
