The passing of Iris Brertton of Saddle Lake, Alberta leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on November 19, 2025 at the age of 58. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Brertton Giant and Charlotte Brertton; and her siblings, Alvin "Magic" Giant, Ronald Brertton, Henry Brertton Jr. and Cherilyn Cardinal.
She is survived by: her daughter Vanessa Brertton (Johnathon Redcrow); her grandchildren, J. D. Brertton, Serenity Brertton, Cue Brertton, Jay Brertton Inyallie and Ron Brertton Inyallie; her great grandchild Cee Jay Brertton; and her siblings, Duke Brertton Giant, Wanda Giant, Tina Brertton, Hansen Brertton, Ricky Jackson and Karen Quinney. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews.
A wake will be held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Ayiwakes Cultural Centre (404a 50TH St, Saddle Lake, AB T0A3T0). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
