He was predeceased by: the mother of his children Allison McGilvery; and his son Raven Quinney. He is survived by: his wife Louisa Youngchief; his children, Darian Quinney, Laikken McGilvery, Alissa McGilvery, Jeremiah Quinney, Keara Quinney, Samuel McGilvery (Lennea) and Heather McGilvery (Cole); his stepchildren, Tuleshia, Teciha, Tysjoan (Big Boy), Tyonie, Trayton, Talon and Tyre; his grandchildren, Kyrin, Greyson, Aleighlyn, Regan, Riley, Darren, Mia Bella, Conner and Harlow; his father Vernon Steinhauer (Rita Steinhauer); his siblings, Charlotte Quinney, Jonathan "Buck" Quinney, Elliott Steinhauer, Justice Steinhauer, Remus Steinhauer, Felicity Steinhauer and Farrah Steinhauer; his children, Bridgette Quinney, Edna Quinney, Herman Steinhauer and Lloyd Quinney; and his aunt Sandra Quinney. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles & cousins.
A wake was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Ayiwakes Cultural Centre (404a 50TH St, Saddle Lake, AB T0A3T0). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
