We are sad to announce that on May 10, 2026, at the age of 55, Linda Moosewah of Saddle Lake, Alberta passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Edward Shirt; her granddaughter Jalayla; her grandparents, Mary Moosewah and Roy Gladue; her siblings, James, Joanne, Henry, Kenny and Jimmy; and her uncle Percy.
She is survived by: her partner Lee Casteel; her children, Kris Moosewah (Martina Quinney), Shawna Moosewah (Victoria Cryer), Kimberly Cardinal, Morgan Cardinal and Royce Cardinal; her grandchildren, Carmelle, Jayda, Janaya, Cyro, Sam, Zayden, Ariel and Aaliyah; her mother Eliza Moosewah; her siblings, Corey Moosewah (Lenora), Raymond Moosewah and Elaine Moosewah; the father of her children Glen Cardinal; and her aunts and uncles, Julia Moosewah, Mary Louise McCarthy (Thomas), Raymond, William, Charlie and Ernest Moosewah. She is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
A wake was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Ayiwakes Cultural Centre (404a 50TH St, Saddle Lake, AB T0A3T0). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
