She was predeceased by : her parents, Lloyd Poitras and Mary Poitras; her siblings, Theresa Whiskeyjack, Livina Poitras, Norman and Homer; her grandchildren, Lynacy and Elita; her father-in-law Raymond William Cardinal; and her niece Rose Poitras.

She is survived by : her husband Clifford William Cardinal; her children, Morgana Lynn, Sharmayne Ivory (Carlos), Lenore Mary, Lacey Irene (Ethert), Riel Clifford Adrian and Jacinta Jenna Rose (Dallas Crane); her siblings, Eddie Poitras (Shelley), Marjorie Shirt, Gerald Poitras (Dorothy), Florence Large (Frank), Roland Poitras (Grace Mercier), Richard Poitras (Penny) and Adrian Poitras (Lorraine Morin); and her mother-in-law Irene A. Cardinal. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
