He was predeceased by: his father Roy Makokis; his siblings, Vanessa Makokis, Tristan Makokis and Buffy Makokis; his grandparents, Stanley, Lena Cardinal, Sophie Wood, Alfonse and Margaret Makokis; and his great-grandparents, Thomas and Winnie Wahsatnow.
He is survived by: his children, Jessie Cardinal, Megan Cardinal, Daenin Cutarm, Raiden Cutarm, Landon Cutarm and Creelyn Greene; his grandchildren, Blake, Kasey, Carter, Mercy, Kairo, Marisol and Lennox; his mother Gloria Ward (Robert); his siblings, Tammy Makokis, Coleman Makokis, Cody Makokis, Ashley Yellowknee, Jolene Whitney, Amberly Makokis, Amelia Makokis and Monique Cardinal; and his extended family, Esther Crane, Delores of Saskatchewan, Marlene Lighting, Marilyn Sunday, Vicky Wahsatnow and Lenny Jackson. He is also survived by numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews.
A wake was held on Saturday, January 31st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Ayiwakes Cultural Centre (404a 50TH St, Saddle Lake, AB T0A3T0). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
