Alex Blahun Obituary
With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Alex Blahun (Sherwood Park, Alberta), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Alex left this world on July 6, 2025 at the age of 78, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Blahun and Dora Blahun; his parents-in-law, Fred and Joan Hendra; his siblings, John, Mike (Elizabeth), Joe Blahun and Olga Yakiwczuk; his sister-in-law Dianne Blahun; and his niece Susanne Slemko.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia "Sam"; his son Jeff; his daughter-in-law Chantal Blahun; his grandchildren, Gabrielle, Nicolas and Dominic; his daughter Stephanie; his son-in-law David Ternovatsky; his grandchildren, Landon, Logan and Lucas; his siblings, Anne Wahlund (Bob) and Bill Blahun; and his siblings-in-law, Olga, Ann Blahun, Mike Yakiwczuk (Thyra) and Steve Hendra (Carolyn). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Glenwood Funeral Home (52356 Range Rd 232, Sherwood Park, AB T8B1B8). A reception will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
