He was predeceased by: his parents, Isabella and Gordon. He is survived by: his wife Freda; his daughters, Karen Tomnuk (Brad), Sharry Sowiak (Darren) and Stephanie Hyatt (Joe); his grandchildren, Emily, Grayson, Jarret, Jenna, Ethan and Jeffrey; and his sister Susan. He is also survived by numerous brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Glenwood Funeral Home (52356 Range Rd 232, Sherwood Park, AB T8B1B8).
