He was predeceased by: his son Derk. He is survived by: his wife Gladys; his children, Christopher and Jaqueline; and his great grandchild Piper Rose Marchand.

“Dear Gladys, and Dale's family; I was so sad to hear of Dale's passing. I'm so extremely sorry for your loss. I worked with Dale at Gemini for years, and he was always our bright star! He was a joker and made me laugh always... Especially when I got my lower lip pierced, he laughed at me and asked if my Copenhagen leaks out of there... haha He will be missed by many, and know he holds a special place in my heart too. - Dana Spiller”
