He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo and Sarah; his siblings, Patricia, Helen, John and Reverend James SJ; and his sister-in-law Janet.
He is survived by: his children, Reverend James, Patricia Schimmel (Tony), Kenneth (Debra), Mark, Joseph, Matthew and Thomas (Bobbie); his grandchildren, Lisa, Scott (Dianne), Julie, Trent Schimmel (Danielle), Janessa Schimmel Hatfield (Tony) and Brett Schimmel; his great grandchildren, Carter, Landon, Tanner, Torsten, Quinn and Maddox; and his wife Janet.
