With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Erna Brown (Sherwood Park, Alberta), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 3, 2026 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Erna is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Erna's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

She was predeceased by: her daughter Debbie (Willi). She is survived by: her grandchildren, James (Emma) and Lisa (Phil); her great grandchildren, Savannah and Cole; and her siblings, Aganeta, Hertha, Helmut (Hilda), Ernst and Erika (Helmut).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to University Hospital Foundation or Heart and Stroke Foundation.

“My Mom is in Aster Gardens and we met Erna soon after Mom moved in. Erna, Teresa and Mom soon became known as the "knitters on the 5th floor". Erna was such a wonderful person and always kept everyone in stitches. Last August I took our 8 yr old Grandson to visit Aster Gardens. Erna took a shine to Hartley and asked him to sit on her knee. The two of them had a great time. Erna was so kind to my Mom while she was settling in. My condolences to Erna's family for your loss.”
