He was predeceased by: his wife Constance Patricia Shaw; his parents, Kathrina Deiss and Christian Deiss; his siblings, Edward Deiss, Aurthur Deiss, Christian Diess, Hilda Deiss and Else Seiss; his niece Angeika Shaw; and his sisters-in-law, Dinease Layer and Cindy Shaw.

He is survived by: his daughters, Shannon Lowey and Erika Deiss; his sister Klara Koch; his grandchildren, Carter Lowey, Curtis Lowey and Kandra Wandyka; his great grandchildren, Grace, Cathryn Rae Lowey and Eden Marie Forbes; his great-nephews, Dennis and Daniel; and his nephew Ugen Koch. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family, and friends.
