It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hiltrud (Ehrmann) Maria Scharfenberger (Sherwood Park, Alberta), who passed away on May 15, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Martha Ehrmann and Karl Ehrmann; her sister Ingrid; her daughter Monika; and her husband Joe.
She is survived by: her children, Franz (Judy), Max (Marjorie), Lucy (Terry) and Angie (Aaron); her grandchildren, Stephan, Jill, Martina, Koury, Alexandra, Annaliese, Colin, Elizabeth, Matthew, Meghan and Ryan; her great grandchildren, Landon, Markus, Eleora, Nathaniel, Allyson, Kelsy, Nicole, Jonas, Hudson, Reid, Monika, Morgan and Avery; her great great grandchild Wren; her pets, Miko and Moonshine; and her caregivers, Susie, Phoebe, Debbie, Janet, Lorna, Jaqueline and Mat.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Glenwood Memorial Gardens (52356 Range Rd 232, Sherwood Park, AB T8B1B8).
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Edmonton Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
