He was predeceased by: his parents, Ingulf Lanes and Edith Lanes. He is survived by: his wife Alice; his daughters, Leanne (Tom) and Kendra (Bruce); his grandchildren, Braeden, Ethan, Sydney and Riley; and his siblings, Gerald (Muriel) and Red (Terry).
