It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Vernon Schlender (Sherwood Park, Alberta), who passed away on November 9, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustav and Johanna; and his siblings, August (Kay), Henry (Rose), Alfred (Elsie), Ernest (Myrtle), Lawrence (Pearl), Flora (John), Millie (Arnold) and Edith.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his children, Laura, Elizabeth (Gord) and Greg (Jill); his grandchildren, Megan, Maxwell, Landon (Celine), Olivia (Jake) and Ada; and his great grandchildren, August and Emily. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

Memorial donations may be directed to the St John's Lutheran Church in New Sarepta, AB or a charity of one's choice.
