He was predeceased by : his parents, Agnes Hatala and Joseph Hatala; his wife Carla Windsor; and his brothers, Dale and David Hatala.

He is survived by : his children, Chad (Teresa), Jackie (Brad), Jolene (Greg) and Whitney (Joseph); and his grandchildren, Taylor, Reese, Madison, Abigail, Grace, Connor, Cailey, Paxton Presley, Axle and Aria.
