It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Buster Eagle Speaker (Siksika, Alberta), who passed away on February 28, 2023, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his father Clifford Eagle Speaker (Cecilia Water Chief); his grandparents, Charles Eagle Speaker, Julia Bad Arm, Fred Turning Robe and Niita Waki Water Chief; his aunts, Lola Eagle Speaker, Liz Eagle Speaker and Susan Strangling Wolf; his siblings, Anthony Eagle Tail (Tony), Clifford Eagle Speaker Jr., Lloyd Little Plume, Joseph Good Rider, Vince Spence, Kenny Spence, Varona Eagle Speaker and Nora Eagle Speaker; and his son Brody Gottifriedson.

He is survived by : his nieces and nephews, Miracle "Mecco" Eagle Speaker, Blackfoot, Darcy Turning Robe and Norvin Eagle Speaker; his sons, Shane Gottifriedson (Crystal Proulx) and Beaudeen Sampson; his grandchildren, Samarah, Jakob, Daija, Everleigh and Isla; his great grandchild Raven Gottifriedson; his adoptive mother Christine Mcgills; his siblings, Casey Eagle Speaker (Pixie), Norton Eagle Speaker (Alvine), Otto Eagle Speaker (Marcella), Trent Eagle Speaker (Feather), Verna Cutter (Calvin) and Trina; and his extended family, Water Chiefs, Yellow Horses, Black Horses, Turning Robe, Backfats, Low Horn, Blue Birds, Black Riders, McMaster, Peacemakers, Axe, Goodstrickers, Bullshields, Weaslefat, Crosschild, Badarm, Rabbit, Medicine Travellers, Strangling Wolf, English, Piikuni and Browning Montana.
