He was predeceased by : his father-in-law Allen Mayan. He is survived by : his wife Brandy; his daughters, Andrea (Dylan) and Maeghan; his granddaughter Peyton; his parents, Dan Sr. and Margaret; his mother-in-law Vicki Mayan; his brothers, Donald (Theresa) and David; his siblings-in-law, Opal Mayan (Jeremy) and Jesse Mayan; his niece Calli; and his nephew Scott. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to the Stollery Children's Hospital.
