He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Sloan and Sylvia Sloan; and his siblings, Mildred, Vivian and Gene.

He is survived by: his wife Mona; his daughters, Cindy (Lawrence), Shelly (Darrell) and Dawn (Russ); his grandchildren, Dino (Gillis), Greg (Lindsey), Todd and Heather (Mike); his great grandchildren, Sacha, Brooke, Ben, Jane, Owen and Quinn; and his brothers, Frank and Dick. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
