She was predeceased by: her parents, Bessie Montgomery and Lloyd Montgomery; her brother Rick Montgomery; her brother-in-law Duane Ekert; and her stepson Ken Keir.

She is survived by: her husband Doug Young; her siblings, Ron Montgomery (Vi), Ralph Montgomery (Rosanne), Marilyn Ekert and Sheila Soloshy (Bob); her sister-in-law Pat Montgomery; her children, Scott Montgomery (Shalyn), Jason Keir (Kelly), Robbie Keir (Lianne), Dave Keir, Barb Shuparski (Ken), Norm Young (Megan), Rachel Perkinson (David), Becky Young and Celest Young; and her grandchildren, Eric, Katie, Jordan Shuparski, Dara and Wyatt Montgomery. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
