The family announces the passing of Patricia Iris Yurchak (Star, Alberta) on September 8, 2026. Patricia, born on March 14, 1945, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

Patricia will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honour Patricia by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Patricia is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Patricia’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Mike Melnyk and Annie Melnyk; and her siblings, Alice, Peter and Adolph.

She is survived by: her husband Michael; and her sons, Trevor (Tamara), Thomas (Darlene) and Marty (Margaret). She is also survived by six grandchildren, three great grandsons.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church-Star Peno (564080a Range Rd 193, Star, AB T0B2R0).

Donations in Patricia's name can be made to the new Long Term Care Building Fund in Lamont, AB.
