He was predeceased by : his wife Marj; and his sisters, Dorothy and Connie. He is survived by : his children, Joanne Bootsman (Collen), Blake Wolstenholme and Dyan Nims (Terry); his grandchildren, Karen Zaugg (Phil), Matt Bootsman (Melissa), Amberly Allers (Daniel), Brandon Nims, Kyle Nims (Kendra) and Katie Nims (Mark); and his brother Jack. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, many other relatives and good friends.
