He was predeceased by: his wife Marilyn Dirks; and his grandson Bennett Lawrence Lassu. He is survived by: his children, Kip Dirks (Heather), Lauryn Matt (Kaden), Josh, Isaac, Janine Lassu (Lonnie), Mitchell, Michelle Rilling (Jon), Jonathan Asher (Melanie), Jared and Eden.
A funeral service was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Strathmore Alliance Church (325 1 Ave, Strathmore, AB T1P1B3).
