He is survived by: his wife Maria Koen; his children, Hannelie Cilliers, Daniel Koen (Adele), Carolina Geldenhuys (Heinrich) and Mariette Muller (Emile); and his grandchildren, Liza Peoples (Nick), Gawie Koen Jr. (Wendy), Letitia Koen (Jason), Albertus Geldenhuys (Chelsea), Iris-Louise Geldenhuys, Sam Muller, Gabriel Muller and Elizabeth Muller. He is also survived by his family, friends.
