It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cornelus Vanderzwan (Sundre, Alberta), who passed away on December 27, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire his loved ones, keeping Cornelus' spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
He is survived by: his children, Dianne, Andy, Brian, Rick and Allan; his wife Anna; and his daughter Mary Lynn. He is also survived by Dad is the last of the eleven children in his family.
A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church (123 2 St SW, Sundre, AB T0M1X0). A reception was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 at 6:00 PM.
